Overview
This guide explains the main parts of the OpenEdge PASOE interface in the VS Code extension.
The overall layout is designed to help you move from selecting a server scope and PASOE server to reviewing server availability, browsing deployed ABL applications, inspecting agents and web applications, and editing application properties in a simple and predictable flow.
Header Area
The header is the main control area at the top of PASOE.

From here, you can:
- choose the server scope you want to work in
- choose the active PASOE server
- review server availability directly in the selector
- open the server configuration dialog
In practice, the header is where you decide which saved server group and which PASOE server you want to work with before you start reviewing applications.

Scope and Server Selection
The scope and server selection controls are shown in the header area.

This area lets you:
- switch between All, User, Workspace, and available Folder scopes
- limit the visible server list to one configuration source
- choose a configured PASOE server from the dropdown
- review the configured server address in the selector
- see whether the selected server is currently reachable
This is the main starting point for moving between saved PASOE server configurations.

Server Configuration Dialog
The server configuration dialog is used to manage saved PASOE server entries.

From this dialog, you can:
- review saved servers in a table grouped by source
- see whether a server belongs to User, Workspace, or Folder settings
- add a new server entry
- edit an existing server entry
- delete a saved server entry
- choose where a server entry should be saved
- choose the transport, authentication type, user name, and password behavior
- import server configurations
- export server configurations
- save configuration changes
- duplicate server configurations
This dialog is the main working area when you want to maintain PASOE server definitions instead of monitoring a selected server.
ABL Applications Area
The ABL applications area is shown in the main content area.
This area helps you inspect the applications deployed on the selected PASOE server.

You can:
- see the list of deployed ABL applications for the current server
- switch between available applications
- review the selected application's name, path, and type
- open JSON views for all applications or for the selected application on tabs that support it
- open the application property editor
This area updates when you select a different server.
Application Detail Tabs
The application detail tabs are shown inside the selected application view.

From here, you can work with:
- Agents
- Web Apps
These tabs are used when you want to inspect runtime details for one deployed ABL application.
Agents Tab
The Agents tab is used to inspect and manage agents for the selected ABL application.
From here, you can:
- review the agents that belong to the selected application
- refresh the agent list
- stop an agent
- open agent-level details where available

Web Apps Tab
The Web Apps tab is used to inspect the web applications that belong to the selected ABL application.
From here, you can:
- review the web applications linked to the selected ABL application
- see how many web applications are available
- refresh the web application view where supported

Property Editor
The property editor is opened as a full-screen dialog for the selected ABL application.

This area lets you:
- review application properties returned by OEManager
- search for specific properties
- browse grouped property categories
- edit supported property values
- save changes back to the selected PASOE server
This editor is used when you want to inspect or update detailed application settings.

Tips
- If you do not see the expected server, check the selected scope first.
- If the selected server is unavailable, verify the OEManager host, port, transport, and credentials.
- If application details do not update yet, select the server again or use the available refresh actions.
- If you changed server definitions, open the server configuration dialog and save the changes before returning to the main view.
